DESCRIPTION:This is a customized session blending Vantage Points sessions “Tools for Recruiting and Selection” and “Introduction to Coaching” in response to a need we heard from our community.\n\nAbdollah Fooladkhai\, Knowledge Philanthropist\, holds a bachelor of Human Resource Management and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah. His professional career has been in research and not-for-profit industry and talent management\, strategic HRM\, strategic management\, and corporate governance.\n\nCurrently\, Abdollah is a board member at the Vancouver Pride Society\, bringing his HR expertise and knowledge into serving the community. He is a member of the Networking Committee at the CPHR BC & Yukon.\n\nParticipants will receive a booklet of information to keep.  By the end of this session\, you will be able to:\n\n 	Reflect on an employee’s hiring and employment experience in a holistic way.\n 	Think critically about the steps involved in your employment process for a prospective candidate to feel supported at every stage.\n 	Develop effective screening processes to evaluate candidates.\n 	Explain what coaching is and apply the GROW model at a basic level.\n\nJoin us for this workshop on April 16th\, 2024!\n\nRegistration is $150 and includes lunch.\n\nEmail marruda@crfoundation.ca to register!

DESCRIPTION:This gathering is for Executive Directors\, CEOs\, Managing Directors\, or the senior most paid staff person of charities and non-profits in Campbell River.  This group meets once every four months to increase collaboration among organizations through enhanced relationships and shared experience while decreasing professional isolation among those working in this role. \nThis session topic will include the development of annual plans and budgets.  Executive Directors\, CEOs and Managing Directors wishing to attend should RSVP to marruda@crfoundation.ca. \nWhile there is no requirement to bring anything\, if comfortable\, participants can bring a photo\, printed example\, or template of an annual plan or budget that has worked for them.  Participants might also reflect on past experiences that have shaped their process in the development of their plans\, including stories of what NOT to do!
