SUMMARY:Vital Conversations: Alcohol Use Disorder
DESCRIPTION:Vital Signs 2022 tells us that people over 19 in Campbell River drink more on average than in the Island Health Region and the Province.  This Vital Conversation focuses on the topic of alcohol use\, its effects\, destigmatization of alcohol use and access to support by bringing together a cross-section of professionals in our community to learn and work together in unison to support community growth. The Canadian Alcohol Use Disorder Society\, funded by BC Mental Health and Addictions\, works with Community Foundations around the province to bring their community engagement session to the local level.\n\nThis event is for anyone working in or around people who have Alcohol Use Disorder including in the medical\, specialized treatment\, private health\, knowledge and learning\, justice and legal\, youth and family agencies\, community development\, diversity and inclusion\, cultural and spiritual\, and local business industries.
