A Legacy Wall as Dynamic as Your Generosity – A New Landmark Tribute to Our Donors

June 4, 2025

We are thrilled to announce a special new development beginning soon in the heart of Campbell River – our unique Donor Legacy Wall at Robert Ostler Park! From the outset, we envisioned a monument that truly reflects the enduring and growing nature of community philanthropy. A challenge quickly emerged: how do we honour endowment funds that, by their very design, grow over time?

The answer was innovation. Our Legacy Wall is ingeniously designed to be ‘interactive.’ As a donor’s fund grows and potentially moves into new categories of giving, their recognition plaque can be thoughtfully relocated. This ensures the monument is not just a static display, but a living testament that accurately celebrates the evolving journey and increasing impact of each cherished fund. It’s a project we’ve poured our hearts into, creating a tribute as dynamic as the generosity it represents.

The Campbell River Community Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to the individuals, families, and organizations whose generosity forms the bedrock of our community’s future. We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of our fundholders. To date, we have facilitated over $1.8 million back into organizations and initiatives enriching life in our community. This monument is a living testament, designed to grow as our community’s philanthropic spirit flourishes. Each name represents a community champion ensuring a legacy of support for generations to come.
