💖The Campbell River Community Foundation would lik 💖The Campbell River Community Foundation would like to extend a sincere thank you to West Can Floor & Home for their vital contribution to the Legacy Wall!

🤩Owners Mario and Adina Mendoza ensured the wall will stand the test of time by donating all the labour and materials for grouting and sealing the tiles on the wall. The craftsmanship is fantastic, and we are thrilled with how it turned out.

🌟Thank you for supporting the Foundation and our community!

🤓We are looking forward to this session with The Governance Group on November 27th in Campbell River! Colin Sauer is a fantastic facilitator, providing clarity to organizations on one of the most important and most avoided topics: Governance.

If you're a board or staff member of a non-profit or charity organization, this is a must-attend session.

Topics that are covered in this 4-hour in-person training session include:
✔️ The Governance Game (a great opening that gets everyone involved).
✔️The three important elements of effective and successful boards.
✔️Orientation to the ‘Governing Effectively’ training booklet (125-page Governing Effectively training booklet supplied to each participant as part of your registration).
✔️Review and discussion of the ‘Governing Principles’ for Board Directors.
✔️Overview of the ‘Six Elements of Governing’ (Guidance; Standards; Oversight; Protect; Stakeholder; Sustainability).
✔️Review and discuss the roles and responsibilities of the board, directors, the board chair, and the executive director.
✔️Review of the fiduciary duty and conflict of interest guidelines for board directors.
✔️Building a Leadership Partnership between the Board and the Executive Director.
✔️Practical application of policy development, agenda development, committee and task force structure, and terms of reference.
